Tips from the world’s fittest 96-year-old: ‘Retirement is the worst thing you can do’

Charles Eugster is 96 years old, but he is also a champion bodybuilder, rower, and sprinter. He credits nutrition and exercise for a lot of his success, but he also credits staying productive at his age. He doesn’t even like to hear the word retirement. There is a statistic that shows that after retirement age, depression doubles every five years. And he feels this is from feeling useless, by not making contributions to society. He also believes that age should not discourage people from getting in shape.
