CoQ10 seems to be an important nutrient that people need to stay healthy. It is a fat soluable compound that is naturally made in the body. The name is an indicator of both its function and structure. The Q represents quinone. The Co stands for coenzyme, which is what is used to help enzymes do their jobs. The 10 is representative of the length of the chemical tail, which is attached to the quinone circle. CoQ10 has two purposes.
