Melatonin: Health Benefits and How to Optimize Levels

Melatonin is a hormone that is naturally produced within our body by the pineal gland. Melatonin has a direct effect on our sleep pattern and is typically used as a supplement to help people fall asleep. Too much melatonin however is a bad thing as it can cause you to become drowsy and can also lead to headaches and nausea. It is important to optimize the level of melatonin you take via trial and error. It’s also a very good supplement to take if you are looking to decrease inflammation.
