There are many laws that have been passed in terms of food and food labeling. One law is designed to prevent the images on a box from being misleading. This is also relevant when it comes to the meanings of words. There are also laws concerning nutrition labels – these labels need to include several attributes, including calories and serving size. There is an issue that exists that deals with something known as labeling what’s absent – this comes into play with situations such as labeling water as gluten free.
