In our modern age, it is not uncommon for many meals to lose their nutritional density before they even reach our plates. This is due to the prominence of growing our own food decreasing on a global scale. When food has to go through an extensive transportation process before it reaches our homes, it has the potential to lose quite a bit of its nutritional value. Unfortunately, that’s not the tip of the iceberg. According to Dr. Hyman, many of us are not able to even absorb the same amount of nutrients as our ancestors were.
