Vitamin C Overview: Sources, Benefits, & Do You Need to Supplement?

Vitamin C is a water-voluble Supplement that helps boost our immune systems and is an antioxidant. Vitamin C also fights against infection, especially respiratory infections. If you take 200 mg daily it can also cut the severity and length of the common cold. It also produces Collagen, to help our bones and joints and even helps in the healing of wounds. You can find Vitamin C in many fruits and vegetables such as oranges, red peppers, potatoes and broccoli. Signs of lack of vitamin C include bleeding gums, poor wound healing, and fatigue. If you are a smoker you need even more Vitamin C and yes! Vitamin supplements are a good source.
