There are several things that come to mind when people talk about a ketogenic diet. they think in terms of things like brain health and controlling seizures. But the heart thrives on ketones. In fact, when a heart is failing, it often will then use ketones to improve hydraulic efficiency. A ketogenic diet can be used for the purpose of glycemic control. The aim there, is to keep blood sugar at the right levels. This is good for vascular health.
