When people think about all of the life forms that are populating the earth, most people think of animals like elephants and puppies, and other cute animals. They don’t focus on bugs. But insects are very important to the world. Insects are the base support for all of the ecosystems and the entire web of life on earth. Without them, it would all collapse. But the insect population is declining, which is alarming. It dropped by 75% between 1989 and 2017.
