NostraCardo and the Year of the Avocado

June 5, 2024 By Paul

NostraCardo and the Year of the Avocado

In the bustling market of Avignon, France, during the 16th century, there lived a most peculiar avocado. This wasn’t just any ordinary avocado; this was NostraCardo, the renowned seer whose wisdom and prophecies were sought by avocados and humans alike.

With a flowing beard made of avocado flesh and a robe adorned with mystical symbols of guacamole, NostraCardo would stand atop his crate, peering into the future with the help of his crystal pit.

One sunny afternoon, in 1524, as the market buzzed with activity, NostraCardo felt a strange vibration in his pit. He quickly grabbed his scroll and quill, his eyes wide with revelation. The market fell silent as NostraCardo began to recite one of his most astounding quatrains:

“In the year where two & zero join four,
Asian Dragon’s awake with a mighty roar,
their fiery breath, toast’s green so fine,
Avocado, onion, turmeric, & lime.”

The crowd murmured in awe, some scratching their heads, wondering if the old avocado had finally gone soft. But NostraCardo knew better. His prophecy foretold of a time far into the future, a time when avocados would rule the culinary world.

Fast forward 500 years, to 2024. The world was a different place, bustling with technology and innovation. Yet, amidst all the change, one thing remained constant: the avocado’s rise to fame. Avocado toast had become the breakfast of champions, and guacamole was revered as a staple at every gathering.

NostraCardo’s prophecy had come to pass. The Asian Dragon, symbolizing a culinary revolution, had indeed awakened. This dragon was none other than Chef Li, a world-renowned chef known for his fiery cooking techniques and his love for avocados. Chef Li’s latest creation, the “Dragon’s Breath Toast,” became an overnight sensation. The recipe? Toast topped with creamy avocado, finely chopped onions, a sprinkle of turmeric, and a squeeze of lime, all torched to perfection.

As the year unfolded, Chef Li’s appetite for avocado recipes grew insatiable. He began to compile his greatest avocado creations into a series of cookbooks. The first two volumes, “The Avocado Cookbook, Volume One and Two,” were instant hits. But it didn’t stop there.

“In need of recipes, for green supreme,
4 culinary Books, An Avo’s dream.”
In the Dragon’s year, their dreams come true.
’50 Shades of Avo’, & ‘brunch delight’,
Each recipe Clear, showing dragon’s might.”

Chef Li’s passion led him to collaborate with other avocado aficionados, resulting in the release of “50 Shades of Avo” and “Brunch Delight.” Each recipe was a testament to the avocado’s versatility, from decadent desserts to savory mains.

The world embraced the year of the avocado, just as NostraCardo had foretold. People from all walks of life found themselves drawn to the creamy, green fruit. Cafes and restaurants competed to create the most innovative avocado dishes, and social media was flooded with vibrant, green-hued photos.

As the prophecy continued to unfold, NostraCardo’s name became synonymous with avocado wisdom. His ancient quatrains were studied by culinary students and chefs alike, seeking to unlock the secrets of perfect avocado dishes.

And so, in the year where two and zero joined four, the world celebrated the avocado like never before. NostraCardo’s vision had come to life, proving that even the most humble fruit could hold the power to change the world.

His quatrains, filled with avocado prophecies, continued to inspire future generations, ensuring that the legacy of the wise seer lived on, one delicious avocado recipe at a time.

The Avocado Quatrain Prophecy

In the year where two & zero join four,
Asian Dragon’s awake with a mighty roar,
their fiery breath, toast’s green so fine,
Avocado, onion, turmeric, & lime.

As year 2 & 4 unfolds its mail,
The Dragon’s appetite, doth swish its tail,
in need of recipes, for green supreme,
4 culinary Books, An Avo’s dream.

Nostra Cardo’s vision, both clear and bold,
Telling of dishes, both new and old,
In books where secrets, are openly kept:
Avocado meals, perfectly prepped!

“The Avocado Cookbook, volume one and two”,
In the Dragon’s year, their dreams come true.
“50 Shades of Avo”, & “brunch delight”,
Each recipe Clear, showing dragon’s might.
