According to a study that was done known as the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, the consumption of avocados has been connected to better diet, and better nutrient intake, as well as a reduced risk of metabolic syndrome. The data was based on the recall of study subjects, in terms of what they had eaten int he past 24 hours. The subjects were US adults, who were at least 19 years of age. There was a mix of men and women.

Key Takeaways:

  • Avocados have several nutrients, including phytochemicals and dietary fiber, but there is a lack of information concerning how it relates to metabolic disease.
  • In the study that was conducted, the subjects were adults who were over the age of nineteen.
  • No matter where in the world you go, there is a push for more consumption of vegetables and fruits.
